What a great night for the Players and Management who participated in last night's game at Selby Town's ground. A floodlit stage to confirm the very high standard of those local players who never get paid to play but turn out every weekend for their local clubs.

Is this a format which can be developed? Could Selby Town program an annual pre season friendly on the same lines? Could the towns clubs get together and ask to play a York or Scarborough select team in a pre season or end of season game on an annual basis? Do the clubs in Selby want to promote Selby football and if so, is this a way forward?

Congratulations to Kendo and Bob and to those players who were involved especially those who turned up at short notice following injuries and call offs and had the honour of being asked to represent their town.
