Hi Everyone,

Having created a forum almost a year ago (its what you asked for!!!) i thought it would be better to explain the setup as it now finds itself in.

The idea of having local clubs added to the original forum was just so that we all had a common meeting ground, after all... we wanna talk about football right? 5 forums are not neccessarily better than 1, and at the end of the day, its you guys that make a forum.

Forums are fickle things, they can be brilliant and last two minutes and poor and last a lifetime, and anything inbetween of course

Would some of you prefer it if i took it away from the original Kartiers forum to look and feel more like a local forum instead? Having a domain name like www.selbyslocalfootballforum.co.uk or whatever?

I would say start a new Selby football team one, but have 5 people (could be from different clubs) as administrators! This way you could control the forum better and not put as much pressure on one person to edit post’s.
Also make it so you have to register to post, thus no random post under stupid name just trying to cause mayhem.
I understand this would reduce my own post quota! Lol and Kendo's, sorry I mean Keano, the Guru, price of Orange and the computer illiterate Cloughie and Webb will have to remember there log in details and not post as a Carl or webba!!! Oh you cheeky scamps!!

This Kartiers forum has been good, but I feel it has lost some of its appeal for one reason or another in recent months!

Totally new to this.But it does seem to run quite well.Started a post in the 'Griffin' forum, will tell our players about the forum, and hopefully get some more interest.

Saying that most will already know about it anyway.
